Star in a Star Quilt Class
For the sample I used Charm Packs and contrasting dark brown yardage for the background fabric. It is easy to make the quilt bigger by adding blocks.
For the lap size you will need 12 blocks plus 28 border units:
136 five inch Main Fabric squares = 4 Charm packs = 12 Fat Quarters = 1 Layer Cake = 85 inches of fabric.
136 five inch Background squares = 4 Charm packs = 12 Fat quarters =1 Layer Cake = 85 inches of fabric.
